Togouchi whisky casks mature in a truly unique setting: inside an old railway tunnel dug in 1970, stretching 361 meters in length. This tunnel offers optimal aging conditions, with a constant temperature of 14°C and 80% humidity. The spring water used to bring the alcohol content down comes from deep within the mountains of the Sandankyo Natural Park.
The Togouchi Peated is a non-age-statement blended whisky, composed of both single malt and single grain whiskies, with 18% of the blend being peated single malt. It is bottled at 40% ABV.
